The Call to Healing; a Lifetime of Learning
Kathleen’s interest in Eastern medicine was sparked when she was struck by a serious illness while teaching English in Peru. She was returned to full health thanks to holistic medicine and ancient healing practices, and found her own true calling in the process.
In 2003 Kathleen began her profound journey of knowledge & discovery...
- Earning her Masters of Acupuncture from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM) in Seattle
- Developing a deep background in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
- Immersing herself in the study of the Japanese meridian therapy acupuncture called Toyohari, training with experts across the U.S. as well as with the blind Toyohari masters in Tokyo, Japan. She is a member of the Toyohari Association of North America (TANA).
- Developing a new specialization in macular degeneration treatment, studying with Mats Sexton, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., in Minneapolis, and training in Acupuncture for Degenerative Eye Disease in Phoenix
- Living a monastic lifestyle in an ashram setting with extended silent retreats in India
- Broadening her ongoing education with training in yoga, Shiatsu, cupping, Reiki, nutritional counseling, and herbal supplementation
